The format is quite new for moot participants. It is a great opportunity to compete with teams from all over the world without leaving a country. Moreover, a strong arbitrator’s bench is a great bonus for the participants. It was said that last year Ingeborg Schwenzer was an arbitrator for some of the teams.

2. Hanseatic premoot

Place: Hamburg, Germany
As the organizers note, the city of Hamburg was always a centre of international trade and international law. For several hundred years the city attracted merchants from all over the world as a perfect place for negotiations and dispute resolution.
Historic spirit is always a part of Hanseatic premoot for the moot participants that come each year to compete and meet friends.
The Pre-Moot takes place with the great support of several law firms located in Hamburg, offering their respective venues for the team pleadings including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, White & Case LLP, CMS Hasche Sigle, Luther and etc.

3. 5th Edinburg International Willem Vis Pre-Moot 2015/16

Dates: 20-21 February 2016
Description: The pre-moot is known for its outstanding bench which mostly consists of practicing lawyers and scholars. Organizers usually invite specialist that dealt with the similar problem as Vis moot problem has and who had a sufficient legal background to share with participants.
Moreover, the pre-moot is a great opportunity for the teams from different legal families to practice the argumentation within different bench approach.

4. The Ninth Annual ICDR Moot

Short description: Each year, the ICDR pre-moot brings together preeminent arbitrators and practitioners in the field of international commercial arbitration with the aim of helping law students from around the world sharpen their advocacy skills. This year's program will be held on the 90th Birthday of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) with 2016 also marking the 20th anniversary of ICDR.

5. Annual Moscow Pre-moot
Place: Moscow, Russia
Dates: 26-28 February 2016
Short-description: The Faculty of Law of Lomonosov Moscow State University cordially invites you to take part in the 7th Moscow Premoot. The event will gather up to 20 foreign and Russian teams, creating the strong and effective venue for Vis moot preparation. Based on the moot results three best teams and three best speakers will be announced.
Traditionally, pre-moot end with awards ceremony and banquet at Tramplin panoramic restaurant, where the guests shall also expect special awards and surprises.
Such firms as Lidings, White&Case, Baker&McKenzie and etc. as well as RAA have been partners and sponsors of the pre-moot annually.
