Liability of arbitrators and arbitration institutes vis-à-vis parties – a roundtable discussion What if arbitrators or arbitration institutions are perceived as having breached their obligations towards the parties? At this event, a multinational panel will share its views and insights on whether arbitrators and arbitration institutes can be held liable vis-à-vis parties. What is the basis for such liability, if any? What is the procedure for raising claims of this kind? How does it work in practice in various jurisdictions? Is liability harmful for arbitration?
