Mr. Coffey served as the U.S. Attorney for South Florida, one of the nation’s largest federal prosecution office. He also served for 10 years on the federal judicial nominating commission for South Florida, appointed by both of Florida’s United States Senators, and for eight years was the Chair. In private law practice, he had major litigation roles in such high profile cases as the Elian Gonzalez’ international custody battle and the 2000 U.S. Presidential election recount. Today, Mr. Coffey’s law practice areas include international litigation and arbitration, business disputes, fraud cases, enforcement of contracts and loan agreements, federal and government issues and government investigations. A frequent teacher and guest lecturer, he has been guest legal analyst providing legal local commentary for international networks: CNN International, Telemundo, Univision, Canadian Broadcasting Company; national networks CNBC, NBC, CNN, HLN, FOX, MSNBC and NBC. As a teacher, Mr. Coffey is adjunct faculty member for University of Miami school of law, Florida International University, and Saint Thomas University Law School. He has appeared in international conferences in Moscow and St. Petersburg and has taught law classes in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. He is annually recognized in Best Lawyers in America, Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, Florida “Super Lawyer”, and South Florida legal guide. Kendall Coffey is on the advisory board of the Russian American Chamber of Commerce.
