Evgeny Raschevsky specialises in international arbitration and litigation, international public law, insolvency procedures and dispute resolution in the energy sector. He is experienced in international arbitration proceedings under ICAC of CCI of Russia (MKAS), ICC, LCIA, SCC and Swiss Rules, as well as coordination of litigation cases in the UK, the USA, Germany, Turkey and other countries.

Evgeny is well-known for his role in the highly successful representation of the Russian Federation in the International Court of Justice in The Hague in its defence against a claim filed by Georgia against Russia in a dispute regarding racial discrimination.

He is also involved in many high-profile international disputes including representing a Russian building materials producer in a dispute against a European company regarding the acquisition of assets in Turkey (ICC and complex litigation in several jurisdictions).

In 2008, Evgeny was recognised by an international legal publication, Global Arbitration Review, among ‘the ones to watch' in Russia. Today he is called a ‘rising star' in dispute resolution by Chambers Global 2011 and a prominent Russian arbitration and mediation expert by GAR 100 2011 and Best Lawyers 2011.

Evgeny has authored numerous articles in specialised Russian and international legal publications. He lectures on bankruptcy in the Russian School of Private Law, the leading educational national centre specialising in civil law, and on commercial disputes and legal representation at professional enhancement seminars at M-Logos, a well-known educational centre for practitioners.

He has been a member of the Moscow Bar Association since 2003.

Evgeny graduated from the Law School of Volgograd State University in 1999. He received his Master's Degree at the Russian School of Private Law in 2001 and his PhD in Law in 2004.
