On 31 March 2026, in Yaoundé, Cameroon, The Russian Arbitration Association, the African Arbitration Association, and the Association for Promotion of Arbitration in Africa APAA signed Memoranda of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding aimed at strengthening long-term collaboration in the development of both international and domestic arbitration, as well as advancing modern arbitration infrastructure.
The signatories agreed to cooperate for:
- promoting alternative dispute resolution within professional and business communities, and enhancing the recognition of international commercial arbitration as an efficient and reliable dispute resolution mechanism;
- supporting the professional development and training of specialists in the field;
contributing to the development of arbitration-related legal practice;
- promoting each other’s dispute resolution services; and
organizing and hosting joint events.
The signing ceremony took place during the 4th African Arbitration and Mediation Day, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Cameroon, signed by the President
GASTON KENFACK DOUAJNI and the Secretary General
Roman Zykov.
