We are pleased to announce that CIETAC will organize
the SCO & China-Central Asia Arbitration Forum 2025 on 25th April 2025 in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China.
This year's Forum will be themed as “
Gathering Forces for Arbitration Cooperation & Embarking on a New Journey under the Rule of Law”. The Forum will focus on the development of arbitration within the SCO relevant states and in Central Asia, aiming to promote international commercial dispute resolution services and facilitate regional economic cooperation.

Session Ⅰ. Regional Cooperation and Coordinated Efforts for the development of International Arbitration
Topics to be discussed:
1. Enhancing exchange and cooperation among dispute resolution institutions in the SCO member states and Central Asia
2. Promoting convergence of regional dispute resolution mechanisms and strengthening cooperation in foreign law ascertainment and judicial assistance in service of documents
3. Reinforcing judicial support for arbitration and facilitating the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in relevant jurisdictions
Heads of arbitration institutions, judges, arbitrators, lawyers, and other experts from the SCO member states and Central Asia will be invited to discuss the topics above.

Session Ⅱ. Emerging Challenges and Corresponding Solutions in Dispute Resolution
Topics to be discussed:
1. Dispute resolution in emerging sectors within the SCO member states: a focus on cross-border energy and infrastructure disputes
2. The synergy of artificial intelligence and international arbitration
3. Arbitration safeguarding the sustainable development of economic and trade cooperation among the SCO member states, China and Central Asia
Experienced arbitrators, lawyers, in-house legal counsels, scholars, and other experts will be invited to discuss the topics above.
