John Choong is a Partner with the International Arbitration Group, and heads up Freshfields’ China arbitration practice.
He has practised for over 15 years with international firms in Hong Kong and Singapore, and has acted for clients on some of their most important international commercial and investment arbitration cases, including a number of billion dollar arbitrations. These have involved arbitrations under all the major arbitration rules, including a number of Russia-related matters.
John is a Fellow of a number of arbitration institutes, and is recognized as a leading practitioner by various legal directories.
