Counsel, Akin Gump

Jenny Arlington is counsel in the International Arbitration and Litigation department of Akin Gump in London.  She represents a range of clients in high-value, complex international arbitrations under most of the main arbitral rules.  Jenny also acts in top end, intricate cross-border commercial litigation cases in the English High Court and, in conjunction with local counsel, in off-shore jurisdictions, including the Isle of Man and the British Virgin Islands.  The international disputes she handles have a particular focus on Russia, CIS, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East.

Jenny has been recognised in the Chambers & Partners Global directory and The Legal 500 UK directory in both international arbitration and commercial litigation over the past six years and named European Women in Business Law “Rising Star: Litigation”.  In addition, Jenny has particular expertise in cyber and privacy matters and for over nine years has regularly advised a wide range of clients on UK and EU data protection laws, in the context of transactions and regulatory issues (she is a CIPP/E).

She did her undergraduate law degree at the University of Bristol (England) and her LLM in the University of Leuven (Belgium).  Prior to joining Akin Gump, she trained and qualified as a solicitor at a Magic Circle law firm in London.  A native Bulgarian, Jenny is fluent in English, Russian and German, and has been living in the UK since 2003.
