Susanne Heger is an attorney and founder of the Viennese law firm Heger & Partner. She is a graduate of Vienna University and holds a Ph.D of the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the RF. Susanne also obtained the qualification of an Accredited Mediator (London School of Mediation).
Susanne speaks Russian fluently and has extensive experience of working with clients from the CIS which includes five years of practice in Moscow with the law firm Clifford Chance.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Susanne practises regularly in the area of international commercial arbitration. She has acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, chairperson of the arbitral tribunal and counsel in numerous arbitrations under the rules of European arbitral institutions (such as ICC, VIAC, DIS, ICAC) and also in proceedings ad hocunder the UNCITRAL Rules.
Susanne is the author of a short commentary on the Austrian arbitration legislation in the Russian language (1stedition Moscow 2006, 2ndedition Moscow 2017) and one of the co-authors of the Russian textbook on international commercial arbitration which was published in 2018.
