Yan Kalish is an advocate and counsel at the Dispute Resolution Practice of Rybalkin, Gortsunyan & Partners. Yan represents clients in arbitration proceedings under the rules of various institutions, including ICC, SCC, LCIA, SIAC, VIAC, etc. Yan also advises clients on complex cross-border disputes, including proceedings in the courts of the United States, Norway, Switzerland, British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, Singapore and Russia.

Yan Kalish is a member of the CIArb and the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission, co-chair of RAA40 and the Thought Leaders 4 FIRE CEE-CIS Committee, a member of the TIAC45 Steering Committee and the Steering Committee of the Russian Chapter of the European Branch of the CIArb, as well as Executive Secretary of the Commission on the development of arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution methods of the Moscow regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

Yan also sits as an arbitrator (including as a sole arbitrator) and is included in the reserve panel of arbitrators of the Tashkent International Arbitration Center and the Next Generation of Russian Arbitrators Guide. Yan holds a PhD in Political Science and has published over twenty scholarly and practical papers on the matters of law and politics. He is ranked by Best Lawyers 2021-2022 in Dispute Resolution and International/Domestic Arbitration and Legal 500 "Arbitration Powerlist: CIS and Caucasus".
