Moscow, Russia, (August 01, 2022) - Mansors today announced Vladimir Khvalei has joined the firm as senior partner.
Mr Khvalei has significant experience participating in litigation both in Russia and abroad and representing Russian and foreign companies operating in various industries, including oil and gas, construction, banking and others in complex international disputes. Vladimir Khvalei has also acted as counsel and arbitrator in international cases under a wide range of arbitration Rules including those of UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, SCС, МКАС, HKIAC, ICAC, CRCICA, ICSID and other arbitration institutions.
Since 2009 Vladimir has been regularly ranked as one of the leading experts in dispute resolution within Russia and across the CIS by Chambers, Legal 500, PLC Which Lawyer and Who’s Who Legal.
Mr Khvalei is on the arbitration panels of various institutions worldwide, including Russia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, US and Israel. He has been appointed by the European Commission to the “List of Candidates Suitable for Appointment as Chairpersons for Arbitrations”.
Vladimir Khvalei is a Member of the Governing Board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), Vice-chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Arbitration Association (RAA), Member of the Board of Trustees of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), Member of the Board of the International Arbitration Court at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Member of the Supervisory Board of the International Court of Arbitration at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Prior to joining Mansors, Mr Khvalei was a partner in Baker McKenzie's Moscow office, where he was a head of a CIS dispute resolution practice group. Vladimir Khvalei represented major companies in the energy, construction, industrial, aircraft and banking sectors and oil&gas and state corporations.
