Steven’s work involves disputes in the energy, finance and telecommunication sectors as well as many others These have covered jurisdictions as varied as Hong Kong, Singapore, Russia British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, Jersey and Kazakhstan as
well as the UK and the US. His clients include both state enterprises and business organizations among his most notable cases have been Daar Al Arkan v Al Refai and others, VTB v Nutritek, ; Berezovsky v Joseph Kay; Ritz Hotel v Al Geabury

He has
been listed by The Times of London as one of the 100 key influential legal professionals in the United Kingdom. 
Wider Activities 
Steven is an active member of the wider legal community and has taken on a number of important public roles including Deputy Chairman of the Fraud Advisory Panel ; Founder Member and former Chairman of the UK’s Commercial Fraud Lawyers Association; and a member of the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts. He is also a member of the recently formed panel advising the Home Office on Public/Private strategies to counter fraud.Together with Anthony Riem, Steven is the English representative of Fraudnet (www.fraud-net.com), the ICC’s global network of asset recovery specialists
