Dr Favre-Bulle has more than 20 years of experience in dispute resolution (arbitration as counsel or arbitrator, ADR, court litigation). He has been involved in over 220 arbitrations - for example, sales agreements, agency and distribution, licences, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, post-M&A disputes, etc., in various business industries such as energy, construction, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, banking, luxury goods, sports (in particular before the Court of Arbitration for Sport), etc. At Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva, Xavier Favre-Bulle leads the arbitration group and the sports law sector. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and the author of some 65 books and articles.
Xavier Favre-Bulle is a member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) Governing Board, Senior Vice Chair of the Sport Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and a member of the ADR Commission of the Geneva Bar Association. He is also a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and actively participates in various working groups on arbitration. He is a lecturer in law and a founding member of the Swiss Arbitration Academy.
