Matthew Hodgson has acted as counsel and advocate in a large number of disputes worldwide including under HKIAC, ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, SIAC and UNCITRAL rules. He is admitted to the bar of New York State, and as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
He has particular experience of disputes relating to energy and infrastructure projects, financial instruments (including derivatives), joint ventures, distribution agreements, post M&A matters and construction disputes.
Matthew also has extensive experience of representing both investors and States in relation to disputes under bilateral investment treaties and the energy charter treaty.
