China Arbitration Summit (the Summit), the high-profile gathering of China’s arbitration community, the highlight of the China Arbitration Week and also one of the most influential events in international commercial arbitration, will be held on 6 November 2019 in Beijing. The Summit will be jointly organized by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), All China Lawyers Association (ACLA), and supported by the Supreme People's Court of China and other departments.

2019 marks the 6th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. In the current context of global economic integration and against the existing trade friction, how to make alternative dispute resolution including arbitration play an active role in global governance has become an important issue for the legal professional all over the world. This Summit aims to serve as an important channel for China and the international arbitration community to exchange ideas, share experiences, and reach consensus so that to promote global arbitration practice based on consensus, and to reach a win-win outcome built on cooperation.

Representatives of major international arbitration institutions, judges, arbitrators, lawyers, in-house counsels, and other arbitration professionals will focus on hot issues under three sessions: “Belt & Road and Arbitration –Stability in the Unstable Trend of Globalization” “International Investment Disputes and Arbitration – Coordinated Development and Complementary Integration” “Legislation, Judiciary and Arbitration – An Arbitration-friendly Environment”. The Summit will be a one-day event. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

On the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, CIETAC will hold the “Belt and Road Arbitration Institutions’ Roundtable Forum” with the world’s leading arbitration institutions on 7 November 2019 in Beijing. Representatives from major arbitration institutions and professionals from various industries will explore solutions and prospects of the development of arbitration. In addition, a series of activities will also be hosted in major cities across the country in China Arbitration Week from 2 to 9 November 2019.

We cordially invite representatives of arbitration institutions, arbitrators, lawyers, in-house counsels, scholars and other friends with a common interest to participate in the Summit and the China Arbitration Week.
