Olga Hamama is a co-founding partner of the dispute resolution boutique V29 Legal with a main focus on serving as arbitrator. Olga has more than ten year of experience acting as counsel, arbitrator (sole arbitrator) and secretary to the tribunal in more than 50 international disputes and dispute-related matters. She serves as arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Prior to co-founding V29 Legal, Olga was a member of the international arbitration group with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. Olga worked in the firm’s Frankfurt, Brussels and Moscow offices, advising clients on matters with various cross-border elements, including complex international commercial disputes, investment arbitration proceedings, the impact of EU sanctions on international transactions as well as compliance of national legislative initiatives with European regulations. Olga has represented and advised clients in connection with international arbitrations under the rules of major arbitral institutions, including CAS, DIS, ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, Swiss, UNCITRAL and Vienna Arbitration rules, and at various seats, governed by a variety of substantive and procedural laws, including laws of Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, CISG, Cyprus, State of Delaware, Egypt, England, Georgia, Germany, India, Iran, Libya, The Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey and the Ukraine. She provided strategic advise with regards to related/parallel court proceedings in administrative, civil and criminal courts, as well as questions of recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitral awards, requests for judicial assistance. Olga has also coordinated and managed more than 10,000 proceedings in six jurisdictions worldwide in a complex dispute in connection with manipulation allegations in the automotive industry.

Olga has experience in various industry sectors, including the automotive, financial, energy sector, international sales and sports. In view of the increasing importance, Olga has specific interest in matters related to modern technology. She is a member of the working group on Dispute Resolution in Blockchain-based Transactions at the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center.
