We look forward to welcoming you to a lively debate on current issues in international arbitration followed by refreshments and canapés – a unique opportunity to network, exchange ideas and share experiences with fellow lawyers in an informal setting.

The debate, moderated by Patricia Shaughnessy, Stockholm University/SCC Board, and Mark Appel, International Centre for Dispute Resolution, will cover the following question "Should arbitral institutes and arbitral tribunals be empowered to exercise discretion to join claims and parties without the common agreement of the parties?"

The international six-member panel of young lawyers is composed of Aapo Saarikivi (Roschier, Helsinki), Julia Popylesheva (Clifford Chance, Moscow), Åsa Rydstern (Mannheimer Swartling, Stockholm), Roman Zykov (Secretary General of the  Russian Arbitration Association), Joshua Fellenbaum (Debevoise & Plimpton, London), Klara Håstad (Vinge, Stockholm).

Date/Time: 3 September 2014, 5.00-6.30pm, followed by refreshments and canapés
