On 25-28 November 2016, for the fifth time the ICC Lex Mercatoria Moot Court on international commercial arbitration was held in Minsk by virtue of the organizers of the Moot. The Law Faculty of Belarussian State University in Minsk again was a floor for the pleadings of numerous mooties from law faculties from various countries in a high level moot court.
Unchangeable organizers of the Moot - the International Arbitration Court at the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris), International Commercial Arbitration Court at Belarussian CCI, Russian National Committee of the ICC (ICC Russia), Belarussian Lawyers Union, YurSpektr LLC and International Law & Arbitration Association (BILA, Belarus).
The event was also supported by journal "Industrial-commercial Law", CIS Arbitration Forum (Russia- and CIS-related International Dispute Resolution), Russian Arbitration Association, RAA25, Ukrainian Arbitration Association, Students League of Ukraine.
International law firm Baker McKenzie (Moscow) is a general partner of the Moot. Law firms "Syisuev, Bondar, Hrapuzkiy and partners" (Minsk) and COBALT have also supported the event as partners.
In 2016, for the first time, the English Section of ICC Lex Mercatoria was organized by the International Arbitration Court of the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris) and International Law and Arbitration Association (BILA) and supported by the law firm "Aleinikov & Partners" (Minsk).

The results of the Russian Section of ICC Lex Mercatoria were the following:
I place - Belarussian State University (law faculty, Minsk, Belarus);
II place - Moscow State Law University (Moscow, Russia);
III place - Russian Foreign Trade Academy Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Russia) and Belarussian State University (faculty of international relations, Minsk, Belarus).
